If you want to drive to New Jersey, I'll introduce you to our F5 certified therapy cat, Diablo.
We are lucky enough to share our lives with four SV's. F5 Diablo loves everyone. F4 Mickey is shy, but if he likes you, he will come right up to you and sit on your lap. F3 Jarvis runs from everyone but mike, me, and one of our cleaning girls, who is literally the only person who can carry him around at will. Even Mike and I have to bribe him to pick him up, but he walks up to her, puts his paws up, and she scoops him right into her arms. F2 Rey is our little baby girl. She is curious, and will come right up to new people to say hi, and ask for treats, but she is a million miles an hour unless you are (1) sitting on the couch or (2) in bed. Then she is in your lap or snuggling next to you holding your hand. And I mean that literally.
Each SV is an individual.
The boys like to go outside on their leashes and harnesses. A catio is in our future, although we don't have one yet (yay tax return!). Of our boys, Diablo loves to go for walks, but Mickey and Jarvis don't want to leave the back yard. They like to come outside with me on their long leads when I am gardening.
Breakable objects. You may have to redefine that term with SV's, mostly because of their energy level and persistence. My laptop has teeth marks in it from Jarvis taking it from me. I think you will need a second cat tree with SV's (we have 4 SVs and three 6' cat trees, three 2' cat trees, and a 3.5' cat tree, as well as shelves for them to climb on and lounge on. All three of the adult kitties in my house get on top of my 9' cabinets in my kitchen.
Other cats. You mentioned that you had had them. Do you have a kitty now?
My kitties don't like to be alone. They want to be with us, or together. They each have a best friend (Diablo and Rey, Mickey and Jarvis). Will your SV have a buddy?
I love all of our babies, but they are different. Take your time. Two months sounds like a long time, but it goes very fast.
