Early Spay/Neuter

The studies I have read do not find any issues with pediatric spay/neuter so I think it has many advantages. My vet has a rule of 4 months or 4lbs as the minimum...

I voted on or befor 6 months, as it was closest to 5 months, which was when I had my 2 DSH rescues done.
The 2 males I rescued Previously-brothers- had been shelter-neutered at 12 weeks, and one of them developed feline urinary syndrome.

Shango was 5 months. Amaury will be almost 5.5 months. Shango did get a neutering infection...don't let your cat get one of these (well if you can help it that is - they're pretty rare thankfully)! I have lots of info in the archives on it.

W did Ari's right about the six month mark. I remember reading that it was a good idea to let some of the testosterone start kicking in for stronger bones, especially since he was going to be quite tall. But to catch it before he started to spray. I don't remember where I heard this and whether that's accurate or not. Planning do do Charlie's at about the same time frame.

Keeba was neutered at 12 weeks, chloe was 5ms and pergie was 7 weeks rescue did that . he was abandoned at 2weeks and we seen him a 5weeks. Rescue thought it be best to be with us as soon as possible, seeing he had no mom. I think he was 2pounds(so little)/
