I am very much looking forward to this, and it cannot happen too soon... Elsa likes her running room... And to Tort.. I really did not show all the pictures of the main open rooms, but here is a link to my house... http://www.savannahgroup.net/house as I posted for some other friends to look at (Note this link is not for Savannah Cats, it is to support a gaming server.
Um....how many pairs of jeans and work boots does the current owner have? LOL
I see plenty of opportunities to place cat shelves around the entire house.
Will you be signing Elsa up for swimming lessons?

The day is almost here... Tomorrow (Friday The 13th), and no I am not superstitious and no black cats are in site, We will be closing on our new house. I still cannot take Jake and Elsa up there, because I cannot keep them in a hotel room over night. I will however move in on Friday and Next weekend Jake and Elsa will move to their new home. We had quite a few hurdles to over come, but we finally got all of them done, and coming down to the last few days some issues arose that almost caused us to have to start looking all over again.

I do not have a lot of concerns for Jake, however he is getting old, and I am concerned about his vision and hearing, but he has a nose that doesn't quit.... I think after a couple of days he will figure the place out.

As for Elsa, I do plan to take her Cat Tree on the first trip up with her, and have some of her toys around. She is currently has a weight problem that some what concerns me. Where she will have more and better room too run, I hope she does not take too long to acclimate to the new house. I am having the Vet to give her a checkup this week to see if her Weight Loss is medical or anxiety. At home she eats very well, and plays hard... I am hoping that this is not a medical issue, but will know by Saturday.

I will give more updates with a health update on Elsa and how the move/acclimation goes for both.

I'm sorry to hear that Elsa has been losing weight. I hope that moving into her new home will alleviate her stress once she is acclimated to the place, and that will resolve the weight loss issues. Please keep us posted on what your vet finds out!

John, your new house is awesome and I bet that Elsa just really misses you and once she is acclimated to her new home, all will be well!

I agree, she is just missing you severely. All will be right once you all are under the same roof again.

I think so as well... But by the same token, and especially before she moves, I would like a professional opinion. I have not heard back from the vet and if it was bad news, I am sure that I would have gotten a call... I will be calling them tomorrow to find out what he has determined.

I called and talked to the Vet today... He says that elsa is in excellent health, and that feels her weight loss is due to separation and stress.

The good news, this trip is her last trip being boarded, however going to a new house she will have a different kind of stress getting acclimated to the new house, but at least she will have most of her toys and her large/tall Cat Tree and Jake to play with... There will be a lot of things missing for a while until everything gets moved, but hopefully her stress will be short lived.

She loves to travel, and does extremely well in the vehicle... So travel won't develop any stress, even though the destination will.... At least for a period of time.

Yessssss! So happy to hear there's nothing seriously wrong with her. And to her credit, she did an excellent job hanging in there for so long. You know she will bounce back with a vengeance when she is back with you and Jake. She has survived far worse and is a tough little girl. Give her kisses and head butts from me, please.
