I'd try changing food and litter just in case there is an allergic component to this maybe?

I'd also try a vet ophthalmologist...taking all the results you have from your vet to them... like us humans sometimes we need a specialist when it is a case outside the "normal" culprits :-(

I'm with Brigitte on changing the litter. I had a poor cat suffer for years with chronic snotty nose and we discovered it was the litter. (Recommend Made in USA litter...)
The azithromycin would help a deep seated infection if the organism is sensitive (quite likely). And it hangs around in the tissue for a long time to reduce recurrence.

I will change the litter tomorrow and start there and then how long should I wait before I change the food? .(thank you) Our Vet is consulting with the specialist, so that is why I have not brought her in yet, sigh grunt and grumble.

UPDATE! Well Malia still has a mystery going on and we are still trying to figure out what it is! We have tried so, so many different medicines. Her PCR panel is all negative, her eye ick tests negitive, all tests NEGITIVE! gggrrrrr her blood test shows a slightly elevated white cell count.

We are going to try Azithromycin, this is a antibiotic, but it also helps reduce the bio-film that bacteria make to help protect the organism.

We have not ruled out a possible nasal polyp but this would not be affecting her eye and yes she could have more then one thing going on.

When my Diamond arrived to Moscow I also had such a problem and sometimes it returns not often but ...My vet recommended to try "Diamond eyes" (as a curios) i.jpeg these drops help Dimond after 2-3 days of use. The description and composition of these drops :
The composition and pharmacological properties. In its structure the preparation contains хлордиксидина биглюконат (CHLORHEXIDINE BIGLUCONATE), taurine and succinic acid. Eye drops «Diamond eyes» have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and противоотечными properties. The instillation in the conjunctival cavity of the drug is easily penetrates all tissues of the eyes, providing a sustainable therapeutic level of active components. Хлордиксидина биглюконат has быстропроявляющееся bactericidal activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, дарматофиты and lipophilic viruses. Its mechanism of action is to bind cations, formed as a result of the dissociation of salts хлордиксидина, the walls of the bacterial cells, a violation of the osmotic balance and membrane functions of the cells, which leads to a decrease in the level of cellular ATP and death of microorganism. Taurine and amber acid normalize the oxidation-reduction processes, have the reparative effect, slow down the development of cataracts and профилактируют degenerative and dystrophic disorders in retina and lens. Indications to application. Dogs and cats for everyday hygienic treatment of the eye (the removal of dried exudate in the corners of the eyes), excessive lacrimation, with the inflammation of the mucous membrane and hyperemia of vessels of the eyeball (the syndrome of «red eyes»), with the treatment and prophylaxis of acute and chronic catarrhal and sero-catarrhal conjunctivitis, after injuries and ingestion of foreign bodies, as well as in the prevention of cataracts and age-related degenerative and dystrophic changes retina and cornea. Contraindications. Increased individual sensitivity to the active ingredients of the preparation. The side effects. In applying the drug according to instructions of side effects and complications are not observed.

Has your vet tested for a blocked tear duct or ingrown eye lash? Perhaps get a sinus x-ray to see if there is a structural problem.
