Wow that's great! Louie's such a great looking Savannah! As Shelby said above, at 59% he's considered HP (High Percentage). Basically to get a HP F1 Savannah, it means the breeder took an F1 or F2 female sv and bred back to a male Serval making the offspring higher than 50% serval blood, thus a High Percentage F1 SV. The draw and often higher prices demanded by HP F1's is that they tend to have more Serval-ish size and looks in general, not as a rule since there are other genes at play from the outcrosses, but generally speaking. As for high percentage Serval, heheh I think you meant to say Savannah as a cat is either a Serval or it isn't but the HP pertains to how much Serval blood is in the Savannah lol I hope that explains it fairly well lol In any case, Louie's a very handsome boy that's for sure!

Yup, of course. Dyslexia at work;) , and that's what I meant: "What would be considered a high percentage of serval content?"

Holly, co-owner of Select Exotics, (along with her husband, Dale) the cattery of Lou's origin is especially impressed with Louie's coat:

Siri at 13 weeks! She's an absolute love, which is SO different from our other F1 (he's definitely more stand offish). Our two geriatric pound kitties and F6 love her.....our F1 male is still quite unpleasant to her, but they are coexisting.
