And suddenly, she's decided she's a lap cat. It's like someone flipped a switch on her. So weird.


She may not be feeling well. This may pass, and then return from time to time. I'm not being flippant, just saying that young cats generally prefer being active.

I felt the way that you're feeling now, when my guy was in my lap to a greater than normal extent, until he stopped, and continued in his normal, restless manner. It's all good and you'll see that their mood as well as their mode can change dramatically on a daily, weekly, or hourly basis. I'm happy when he's in my lap, and appreciate it while it's happening but all the while realizing that it's bound to stop at some point. I'm just as happy when he's flying and running around, pouncing on his toys etc, because I know that he's happy, healthy, and "feeling his oats" at that moment.
