No kidding. While you are on line, do you notice jealousy when strangers are in the house? Mine behave so bad, it is like, they get mad if someone is talking to me. They get in my face, block my view, do anything to get my attention. Come to get me to run on their wheel, play fetch, anything. They don't do that when no one is in the house. Too funny. Wish I could get that one on film.

You should def get it on film!!

Theo does act strange sometimes when we have people over, but not exactly that kind of bad behavior. When we have just one or two friends over that he is familiar with, he takes advantage and makes them play with him. Recently when we had larger groups over, loud music, etc. he had his little rampage episodes (freak out - howl nonstop at the top of his lungs - attack the vertical blinds like he's lost his marbles.) This happened several times over the holidays. We put him on time out in our bedroom, and we noticed that when we visited him in "jail", he immediately started purring and being really sweet. My husband commented that it's like he's jealous of our friends, and he just wants mom and dad to himself. Or he's just master manipulator?? He's been on clomipramine (Clomicalm) for 6 weeks or so, I'm curious to see how he reacts next time he's in a similar situation.

I really do think they are jealous. That is what I see, otherwise their behaviour is perfect. Well, what can I say, looks like the Savannahs always win. Lol

I don't typically have people over to my home but some of my cats get jealous of the others when I give them attention - my F1 Shere Tani is the worst, and she is also the biggest cat in the household, so it can get a bit dicey when that green-eyed monster raises its ugly head...

I do have a few cats who insist on standing in front of the computer monitor when I'm trying to work on it, or in front of the TV when I'm trying to watch something interesting... of course if I'm not paying attention to it then they don't get in the way...

We had a couple friends over tonight, and I think you are right about jealousy. Theo was a little brat when they first arrived, howling at first, then trying to get me to run upstairs with him away from our company (we play hide and seek upstairs). He even nipped at our male friend's ankle, which scared me a bit - hopefully it was playful!?

Of course last night, because I was going to try get a video, the boys were good. My husband's friend as being here for 3 days now, so the first 2 days, they were going crazy, but last night, it is almost like they accepted this stranger visiting and having dinner with us. One of my boy, particularly Chaplin, who is very possessive of my husband, was so exited the previous 2 nights, lightly nipping and showing his nail, while looking straight up at my husband, saying I am here Dad . Crazy boy. You describe much of want I experience.

I first noticed these shenanigans, when my girlfriend was cutting my husband's hair. Again, Chaplin, was jumping on him, under the cape playing, just being a brat. I did not think much of it at the time, but after reflection, it became clear. Then, there is Charlie, who when he decides to get my attention, nothing stops him. Little Spencer is just about 6 months, so he doesn't show any is this yet.
