We have several locations he goes to regularly. We made it a point two travel with him as soon as we got him. It has paid off. He loves riding in the car.
Like with puppies, it's important to "start as you mean to go on", if you want to travel with your cat doing it early on when they are young and adaptable is a good idea. With kittens that I want to show, I know that I need to start them as early as allowed and keep taking them out to shows regularly while young...they get used to the routines and procedures and thus when adult are fine with it. But try taking an adult cat to a cat show when they've never been out of the home...yikes!
