Thanks all, it's nice to hear themba is a goodlooking boy. :)

Themba!!! Holy smokes he grew! Whats the weight on him now Niels? Love that boy!

I have no idea, since he has got bigger i cant make him stand on the scale anymore.
And he don't let me pick him up.
Still he has grown a lot more social towards people and other cats the last months.
Put picking him up or putting him into a basket remains a problem.
And now the time has come to go to the vet with him and i haven't figured out yet how to do this.

back on his weight, 1 thing is for sure that he has lost a lot of weight in the last pictures.
For some time he was really fat.
Untill he was 1 year old he used to eat 2.2lbs a day
Now it went down to 1lbs.

I would guess he went down from 30 to 25 lbs, but it really is only a guess.

Can you keep a carrier around for a bit, full of stuff he likes? He might end up liking it and going in on his own. Zeddie loves carriers when they are at the house. Once she is locked in it is a whole new story

the one i have now is not big enough for themba.
i was planning to buy a very big one, but the vet told me she rather have themba in a small one so she can give an injection without getting themba out of the carrier.

I don't know it has to be done like this.
In my case i just call Themba's name and he jumps on the table and come lay in front of me to be pet.
But i wouldn't be surprised if a vet try to handle him he might go crazy.

Mine goes a bit batty for the vets too. Can't say I blame her though :p

Wouldn't the vet be able to give him the injection from the carrier, even if it was a bit bigger? Or maybe get one that opens from the top?
