Kittens grow the most when they are young, just like any other animal. The most rapid growth is probably during the first six months but they continue to grow pretty steadily for the first year. Early generation Savannahs usually continue to grow during the second year but at a much slower rate. During the third year they mature by gaining more muscle mass but not necessarily in height or length.

Pretty Kitty, What "F" is he and how much does he weigh.... Looks like a quite handsome fellow that has the capacity to get into trouble.
Hi John!
He is an F3. He only weighs about 11lbs. He's very lanky and bony. Very bony! He eats very well, so I'm hoping the boniness has to do with growth as opposed to nutrition. He's a little over 12 inches shoulder to floor. I love him so much!

Oh, and when I say bony, I'm referring to his shoulders and hind legs. They seem huge, compared to the rest of his body.

Love is the most important factor... Don't care what anyone else things about my pets.. They are both number 1 to me.. Size does not matter. Best of luck with him..

What's amazing to see, is how very similar the conformations of these cats appear. Gina's cat's pose is so typical of the breed. It's more than just the spots and personality.

I agree. My favorite is the 'neck sticking out/up and to the side' when they see or hear something in the distance. Or how they can make themselves stand really tall when they are alert. It's so pretty and different than any other cat.

LOL, I love that view of when they do that. Elsa is always stretching her neck out... Looks like a Periscope...
