Mickey and Vivi would make a beautiful pair wouldn't they?! Our mornings with Vivi look a lot like yours, we are very lucky to be owned by these sweet snows <3

Thanks guys!
Tort, he was cross eyed when we got him (like your little guy), but it does seem to be improving significantly with age.

Is he having any noticable affect from it? Yeti seems ok for 95% of things, but I can see a slight problem with things very close in giving him trouble focusing on. Distance he is great.

I would be lying if I told you he sees perfectly. I think his eyesight is pretty poor actually, he relies heavily on smell and sound (we did know this before he came home). He has trouble focusing on things that are close at hand, and he has a tendency to misjudge his position relative to various objects and to knock things over, especially if I have just moved something around because I was cleaning. To be honest, we don't really mind, he is such a sweetie that it makes no difference to us, and since I am blind as a bat without my glasses, I can relate- I kind of just view him as my cute klutzy little guy and try not to rearrange too much.

Glad to hear that you love the little guy despite his apparent vision issues. I have seen Yeti go on a demolition derby run including running head first into an empty tea pitcher and sending it flying while he kept after his target. I know that wasn't vision related since he was after a housefly and fully focused, he just didn't care about obstacles. Some of what you may be experiencing is the exhuberance of an SV when it comes to knocking nearby things over. :big grin:

I too am at a loss without my glasses. :uh oh:

LOL!

He is such a good boy, it wouldn't matter if he couldn't see at all, he is a total love bug and the least demanding of our three boys.

When he knocks something over and breaks it, the poor guy either feels guilty or is afraid he is in trouble- he immediately hides under a bed, and has to be lured out so I can make sure he hasn't cut himself. Now Jarvis, he is my kitty who isn't worried about knocking something over when he is in hot pursuit ;)
