F5SBT? How big did yours get?

In general a pound a month for the first 6-7 months is normal growth at any generation... then what happens beyond can vary. Remember there is both domestic and Serval genes involved. A domestic cat is pretty much grown at ~10 months of age while a Serval keeps growing.

Should I be worried that turbo was growing just under 3lbs for a little while? I think he slowed down. Even our vet couldn't believe it.

SVs are like a box of chocolates and you never know what you will get.

Both of Rafiki's parents are warm colored BSTs, previous litters were warm BSTs yet Rafiki is cool and her littermate is a mel. My breeder has an F1 female that is about 30 lbs and has had a couple of F2 boys that big. On the other hand, many of their cats are "normal cat size".

The only thing that is for sure is that these cats have the potential to have the largest personalities and that is all that matters for me.

Sasha was around 3lbs when we got him home at 3 months and he's a little over 6lbs at 5 months.

It's really hard to predict adult size in a kitten. I have seen litter runts turn into the biggest sibling and the largest kitten born end up average sized. As long as he is healthy, growing, and gaining weight I would not worry too much at this age about how big or small he is.

My SBT's all vary in size...I breed only for F5 SBT's at this time...the first litter were all boys and a girl...the boys are huge...Ixas is almost 15 pounds...Cinny (his sister) is not even 8...

The second litter was a bit smaller...although in this litter, Inara, who was the runt and only female, is now the largest at about 12 pounds...

This past litter, all boys again and one girl...Siri is almost seven pounds at 5 months - she is probably one of the largest females I have had...very long and lanky, but very muscular..so it all depends on genetics...

You did ask a question I did not see answered. Savannahs reach FULL maturity between 2 and 3 years of age. They do very little growing in size after 2 years... usually. Just filling out and building muscle. My Kilifi went from 8 lbs 8 oz at 10 months to her present 9 lbs 9 oz at 19 months.
