They do actually - for instance, I breed F5 SBT and F6 SBT...Zuri is an F4 SBT

Idk If this is a legit person or not.. but her price seems way way way too high so I think she is either just top expensive or a scam artist... the thing that made me think scammer was the bad english.. I live in rural ny in upstate.. we have cows and white boys on tractors.. that's it.. lol idk.. please someone see if this is a real breeder or a fake

Silver Savannahs is NOT a scammer, I know the owner and can vouch for her. Her kittens are F6 SBT, both parents are F5 SBT. Michele is a new breeder and this is her first litter. Please feel free to ask me if you have any other questions. Her prices are actually quite low, my F7 kittens will be priced higher than that.

Her prices may be low to get the kittens sold. When you are a new breeder there may be less interest in your kittens...especially if you haven't been marketing your cats. Those are reasonable prices for SBT kittens.

When we reached SBT level (so F4 or further) in reality the generation matters very little, they are "purebred" Savannahs. The generation after that really only matters if you are purchasing a stud male kitten. When you show a Savannah the judge doesn't ask what generation, it's just a Savannah!

Exactly. Once you hit SBT the TWiG (theoretical serval gene) stays pretty much the same no matter how many generations away from the serval you get. You don't hear Bengal breeders talk about generation unless they are breeding foundation (non-SBT) kittens, the Savannah is no different. As Brigitte says, the only time this could potentially be an issue is when searching for a fertile male, but in that case you really need to know their TWiG, not their generation.

It's not that we don't understand that as buyers... it's that although you breeders strive for that, us as buyers do NOT, contrary to popular belief. Most people love Savannas For their wild nature, big size, and grace and beauty.. the more you go to SBT savanna, yeah, you may have one or two come out and grow up big, but the farther down the line you go, the less and less of the wild cat you see in it.. as a buyer I want the closest to the F1 as you can legally get in my area... we don't look for kittens with a wild lineage that is 10 generations back. I'm sorry. It's just annoying to see all the time that buyers don't understand SBT... no.. we do.. just don't want them. Lol I DO understand the gene stays the same after a while, but the issue is this is a first time breeder with a first litter.. you really would pay that much to someone with NO experience breeding?

A male SBT Born to a F7 female and an F5 male..
