Well am I red in the face!



It never occurred to me to look under the tail after the first couple of weeks, but for some reason I took a glance the other day and couldn't believe what I saw - Kizi is a SHE!!! I can see where I was confused - she has two puffy pockets that look just like sacs but when you touch them they are just fur. This has only happened to me one other time in my 10+ years of breeding and that time I discovered my error much earlier on. I should have known though just based on her behavior, she definitely behaves like a girl!!

So, now comes the dilemma - Cary adores Kizi but we both agree that introducing more female hormones into his feline family could be disastrous. So although it has been a difficult decision (for both of us) I have offered him another F2 boy (I checked!!!) and he is going to meet him this weekend and probably take him instead. I will post pics in a new thread when I get home from work, or Cary may very well beat me to it and post some pics himself.

So it looks like Kizi is once again available to a wonderful new home, although I have become so smitten with her I may not have the heart to part with her. Onthe other hand, she deserves a family who can smother her with love and attention so we will just have to see what happens...

I can only say Patti is an Angel. I feel so bad that I can't take Kizi. ( she is a wonderful little energy. )
But on the plus side, the new little boy is a half brother to Kizi, so Stormi and I will still be "in-paws". (cat in-laws). I will let Patti post the pictures on the off chance she posts some I do not have.

Oh. I want EVERYONE to know Patti has been very gracious in this whole thing. The boy she is offering is equally as stunning as Kizi. Although it is a bit bittersweet, I think my NOT taking in another girl is best for all the kitties. Kizi is so sweet and pretty, but the new boy (which I have tentatively named Regulus ) Looks to be handsome and loving too. I am so looking forward to Sunday. (so I can also confirm the energy fit for his name.)

BTW Regulus is a star in the constellation Leo, The Lion, And means " Prince or Heart of the Lion"

The sex change fairy strikes again! I would think there'd be a stampede of people vying to give Kizi a home so whether Patti keeps her or someone else, she'll be loved and spoiled.
