I think that Rafiki is feeling better.....enough for some savandalism:

A brief stop to the guest bathroom for some TP unraveling.

Linda. That makes me feel so happy. Rafiki is all better and normal.

Did you teach her to ask that way? I have seen many cats do that for treats

The asking for something is something that she started doing all on her own. She also does it when laying on her side to ask for pets. Yes, she is a weirdo.

We brought Rafiki to the vet today for a follow up visit. We found a small bump on her back last Sunday and she had been shaking her ears a lot so we figured she needed a vet visit to treat anything before we left for Montreal on the 22nd. First of all, the bump was a non-issue. It was just a scab today and it was probably just something like an ingrown hair. They swabbed both ears and there's no bacterial infection. She is weighing in at 13 lbs 7 ounces so she is almost back to her normal weight. But the biggest surprise was the bloodwork and ultrasound - all normal! All of the liver values are smack dab in the middle where they should be. We are now thinking that it may have been the bacterial infection that caused the scarring of the liver and the major doses of antibiotics last month may have cured her. Fingers crossed. We are looking at a 3-4 month reprieve from vet visits!
