I am quickly learning that there isn't any! The variation is large, which is accompanied by an equal disparity in personality.

There are general "trends", but I see that there is extreme variation within them.

Consult the breeder of your choice for the traits that may be inherent within each litter. There may be certain characteristics that each breeder is looking to exhibit on their animals. Probably the best indicator will be the vital statistics on the queen and sire. Genetic variation/deformity of litter mates cannot be guaranteed unless gross deformity presents at a very early age. I do not believe that viewing kittens, in person, when they are very young eliminates the random happenstance of your purchasing a kitten that is predisposed to a short life span, allergies, or other ailments that will gradually become apparent as they mature.

Probably difficult to guess as my kitten's parentage is not clear, but yesterday he turned 12 weeks and though he is long and lean and does not feel hefty, he seems to have doubled in size in the last 3 weeks. From his sitting bum to the top of his ears he is about 12 inches high when he sits, and when he lays on his side stretched out but relaxed and using a side ways variation of the paw to paw measurement described for estimating the eventual size of Main Coon cats described below, Moggie is somewhere between 23 to 25 inches long.

I know Savannah's have a different growth pattern than average domestic cats, and my kitten is an uncertain mixture, but do 12 week kittens normally almost double their height and length by the time they are full grown, or is adding just 1/4 to 3/4 to their length and height after 12 weeks more the norm?

The 2 cats I saw that are probably related to this oops litter were double the size of ordinary house cats...

Watching my cat I notice it is hard to be objective measuring him because he is like an accordion and rarely holds still or is in a measurable position. But one way to do this is dangling a toy against a wall and seeing how high he can easily reach with his from paws keeping his back paws on the floor. For Moggie right now it is 24 inches.

When life slows down, I will be able to run through my data set and present the range where there's a 70% probability of weight. Going to a 90% probability is large enough that it doesn't make any sense.

We just got back from the vet and 12 week old Moggie weighs 3.8 lbs. Not much of it is fat. So I guess he is a bit on the large side for 12 weeks. But the vet said he doesn't think he will double in height or length even if he doubles in weight.

With so much unknown, it will be interesting to see. what sort of cat he grows into!

Definitely hard to predict since there is so much variation, especially in Savannah's. Shango weighed 4.1 lbs at 12 weeks old. He is now about 17 months old and weighs 18.3 lbs. He is tall and lean, not overweight.... however, if I compare him to the HUGE overweight main coon I saw at the vet office, he looks rather small lol!

A couple days ago my kitten was really sound asleep and stretched out so I had some fun measuring him.

He is 20 weeks old today and 3 & 1/2 weeks ago at the vet he weighed 5.5 lbs, up from 3.8 when he was 12 weeks. I suspect he has put on some weight since then, because the Revolution flea treatment stopped working at least a week earlier than it was supposed to. Which I guess can be a problem with rapidly growing kittens.

He is now about 33 -34 inches paw to paw fully stretched and about 32 when he is a bit more relaxed in these pictures. From front breast to rump he is about 15 inches and from paw tip to top of shoulder about 11-12 inches.

I am not sure if this is of any interest or help as my kitten has uncertain heritage and any information I share may be irrelevant to actual Savannah growth patterns. I was told he is an F8A Savannah with a possibly part Bengal dad, but really his dad could be a Main Coon for all I know. But it does show how I measured him, he is a growing kitten with a long build, and I will tell how big he is in another 6 -7 months so it can be seen how much he grew over time. Which may help people predict where their kittens growth is headed. For comparison one of the pictures is of the day my tiny kitten came to live with me when he was said to be 9 weeks old
