I like the revolution. I used Advantage briefly in the past, but I like that Revolution kills fleas in all stages of the life cycle. I would worry less if D did not go outside (on his leash and harness), and if we did not occasionally have guests with Dogs. Given the doggy visitors and D's desire to go for walks in the grass at the park, I feel safer with revolution since it also controls worms and ear mites as well as fleas. If they were strictly indoor, and we did not allow dogs to visit (a select few), I don't know if I would use revolution over advantage.

I've had my SV kittens/cats (and our two dogs) on Revolution for the LONGEST time, and just recently found a few fleas on one of my adult SV's, and yesterday I saw two of my kittens itching - only 2.5 weeks after their last dose. I'm very displeased with Revolution ATM and plan to write them a letter and talk to my vet about it. When you spend hundreds of dollars aiming to protect your precious fur-family and it stops working - ya get a bit peeved!

so researching both brands a bit, it looks like they both target the same kind of parasites. advantage multi says specifically adult fleas where i am reading revolution will get fleas of all stages?

would this be the tie breaker to lean towards revolution?

well turns out atlas was already on revolution. when i went to the vet for his rabies shot and last set of boosters, they gave me revolution as a dewormer. he said it covers other parasites but i dont recall him saying fleas.

What I like about revolution is that it treats the environment too. So basically while your animal is shedding its dander it is giving your carpets a dose of the chemical. This is a positive as most of the eggs are in the environment. The other products don't do that, to my knowledge.
