Thank you all.. She suddenly became very lethargic and showed no interest in food. Heart murmur is an early diagnosis. The vet said it sounds like one, but she has been too the vet twice and no one noticed anything. They took x rays and there is fluid around her lungs obstructing the heart so we don't know yet. They are currently draining the fluid and will take more x rays after. What we've been told is regardless of the outcome it does not look good for her surviving.... But I refuse to let her go without finding out if there is a chance to save her.

Ishani, what a shock for you. I'm flabbergasted. Is there a cardiac specialist in your area or close by where you can take her for a 2nd opinion, or have your vet fax x-rays to?

We're at the best hospital in our area. We've borrowed money from everyone we could to make sure if anything can be done we will do it. At this point no one seems to know what's going on. Her probation period for her insurance isn't up yet so this is all out of pocket. Me and my boyfriend have had a good cry. Right now we're just focusing on her life. Shoked and mortified does not even begin to express what we're feeling. One second we had a beautiful energetic kitten the next we're having to talk about putting her down.. We're doing everything we can

We had to put her down. The vet said she wasn't sure exactly what was wrong but none of options where good. She gave us our options. And we chose not let her suffer more then she had too. She passed being cradled in our arms.

They will be getting back to me with details tomorrow and I will post again. Tonight I am mourning an amazing cat.

I feel for you. We had to let two sweet cats go over the last year. Both were young. It was really hard on both of us.

All I can offer are virtual hugs. I know you did all you could for her, and she had a great life with you, if way shorter than expected.

If you haven't contacted the breeder, please do.

This is incredibly heartbreaking news, I am sooo sorry for your loss. Are you having a necropsy done so that you know what happened?
