Thanks for the info! For some reason I thought your cattery was right outside Jackson, not Hattiesburg. Looks like I may have to head north to TN to find a vet for the little man.

Oh he's definitely worth it. He's a lovable little turd. It's just that he goes from lovable twirp to rabid possum when placed in a carrier for extended periods of time

Joe, try keeping the carrier out in your living room or bedroom with the door open, and start feeding him treats in there a couple of times a day. I had a cat that got so freaked out whenever she saw a carrier that she would lose bowel and bladder control. I started feeding her in it and it took about three days before it became her favorite place!

He's actually quite fond of the carrier, as he sleeps in it quite often (there's a nice comfy blanket in it). He just doesn't like being trapped in it, and he hates being stuck in it for a car ride even more.

I have one that is fine in her carries. and freaks when I take her out. Kilifi. ( SHe knows it's to the Vet. )

Now that I think about it, the 16 hour car ride when I brought him home and the fact that I've only taken him to the vet in it probably ruined the carrier for him.

Yup, that makes it a bit tougher. You might consider just taking him for a drive from time to time, see if he calms down any.
