Heart Murmur Stage 5-6

I hope Dr Miller can see you soon... and I hope she has some positive news for you on management of your boy's condition. I suspect that there is no "innocent" cause for a murmur as serious as your vet heard but miracles do happen and Bobo was living proof of how they can manage with serious heart defects for longer that anyone could imagine. Donna Lawver (Summerwood Savannahs) had an F1 with HCM that lived for almost as long with pretty serious HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, the most common cat heart disease) with careful medication etc. These Savannahs I think are strong kitties that fight their conditions... with our help :)

Paws crossed over here for a good outcome!

The receptionist just called me, they made a mistake. The next appointment available is on December 9th. I really hope it all goes well. Thank you guys for bringing positive thoughts. For now I'll just keep spoiling him, while keeping a watchful eye.

He was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. At the moment he is 7 months old and still growing. So Dr. Miller wants to perform an E.K.G. again at 1 years old to see truly were we are at with his condition. She rated him at moderate for now. He is taking two pills a day of Atenolol. From what I understand the breeder is still using her stud for her kittens. She has had a few issues from different people using the same stud. I don't want to put people on blast, but I do feel people need to know if they are purchasing a kitten from her. I called her with news, she didn't answer again...no surprise. So I sent her a text. Still no reply. In the text I also let her know that Dr. Miller recommended that she no longer uses him as a stud.

I am so sorry this is happening...sounds like you are seeing the right vet though and he is getting the care he needs...
