A good update to the situation.

Martin and A1 Savannahs have proven good on his word that a full refund would be made. The money is back in my account as of this morning as promised.

Martin, if you are still reading this thread, my hat is off to you. While I am still obviously sad that I didn't get Ice, things are what they are and you did what you said you would do. Thank you.

I will be emailing A1 Savannahs as soon as the medical test results come back from the vet. The kittens are spending the day at my regular vet getting the required tests performed. The staff fell in love with them and are amazed at their awesome personalities. Even when Abby, now Yuki, growled a deep low growl at some dogs she saw accross the room. She is very dog-like so I guess she was claiming to be the Alpha. :)

And now with that concluded I have decided that I will go ahead and give the name Yeti to the kitten.

That is a wonderful update! I am glad everything worked out for you and while the situation was not ideal and mistakes were made, in the end, it sounds as if it worked out somehow...so I'm guessing you are keeping the other kitten? I love the name Yeti! Yeti is a fantastic mountain bike, amongst other things.

Thanks Paige. The kitten is staying. I know the staff at the vet will be overjoyed with that news. He was getting passed around the building with everyone just going all googaly over him. They also were in awe of how beautiful and exotic looking Yuki is.

I had a few other names running around in my head since yesterday afternoon and this morning when I woke up. Slate was a possibility, so was Racer X due to his mask (for anyone that remembers the old Speed Racer cartooon).

Definitely remember running home from school to watch Speed Racer. In fact our house was closest to the school so it would be where all my buddies hung out to watch it. Never was much of a clock watcher, but I was pretty focused at the end of the day on getting home so I wouldn't miss anything as the school day ended at the same time as Speed Racer began.

I am glad to hear that you are keeping them.
At the end of the day I think you will be happy with your decision.
My boys from A1 are an absolute joy, and I think your new babies will be too. Yeti's coloring could change pretty dramatically over the next year; Mickey looks nothing like he did when he arrived.
I'm looking forward to following your snow's development on your thread :)

Looking at the picture of Yeti/Racer-X I couldn't help thinking how cool it would be to have a cat that looks sorta like a Ragdoll on the outside but was Savannah under the hood! I have to admit I'm a little jealous....

Yeah, I think it is a good thing too. It avoids further stress for all involved, especially the cats. Yuki and Yeti are bonded already, especially after almost 12 hours together in the shipping crate.

While talking to the vet this morning she saw Yeti's crossed eyes and decided to do an inpromptu eye test. She used the light on her ear scope to get him to follow it as she shone it on the table top. He seemed to do alright. She also had a laugh when trying to check to see if Yuki might have a heart murmur because she said she'd have to figure out a way to stop Yuki from purring so she could hear her heart. :)

Also, everyone Yuki encountered she tried to climb up on to groom their hair, even holding their face still with her paws so she could get at the spot she wanted to groom. I can see this little girl is going to be hoot when guests visit. :big grin:
