Hello all!

Savannah Super Cat
Adam welcome aboard! Those kitties are super cute! OMG Samsquanch! That's awesome, I'm assuming you're a Trailer Park Boys fan. I never heard of them and came across them on Netflix and ended up watching every single episode in order. OMG such a hilarious show!!! I'm even considering naming my SV after one of Bubbles cats, but didn't think anyone would get the reference hahhaha Sounds like you and your wife are great people and the Savannahs found you because you're able to give them the love and care they need. Congratulations on your new litter! I'm expecting my first Savannah in about a week or so and am super excited. This forum has been a fantastic resource, so definitely welcome aboard!

How common is it for SV owners to have large outdoor enclosures? I built one that's 7'x7'x14' that's connected to the house and my friends and family called me crazy (lovingly, of course;))

Very common! If you look in the photos forum, you will see plenty! I have a 6x6x4 enclosure on my deck and my savannahs love it!

I guess you could call it that... :) I consider, myself more of a "rescue", I guess... All of our cats kind of just found their way to us. Our brother and sister Bengal came to us about a year apart and from completely different places... It's weird and hard to explain exactly how things have worked out, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Our Savannahs were purchased by someone who just didn't have the space and she had heard that we "take in/place" Bengals (I have NO idea how that rumor started...). Breeding them was part of the deal we worked out. I was slightly reluctant at first, but they NEEDED more space and I had it. BEST. DECISION. EVER.
Speaking as someone that runs Savannah Rescue (one of the two directors and founders) I cannot imagine breeding a rescue kitty.... but I think I understand what you are saying though. They aren't "rescues" but the owner didn't have room and you did and you were persuaded to take on a breeding program..

We live in a city, so we roofed over the top of our tiny backyard and the cats have that...
