WOO Freaking HOO!!!!!! Azidi just took a treat from my fingers. NOW she wants me to put treats on the floor in front of her and does not want to eat treats from the dish. I know she is training me to spoil her, but IT"S OK!!!! I will spoil her if it means she is my friend!!!! :big grin::big grin::big grin:

Forgive me folks for posting every little thing with Azidi, but I have no one to share my success with but my fellow Savanna lovers. :)

Please keep posting... I have been doing the same thing for 3 months with pictures... No one is complaining.... Keep it up, we love to hear the progress... Pretty soon she is going to be helping you type the messages.... Just wait, you will see as they get you properly trained.

Those baby steps are turning into leaps and bounds! I think you two are really on your way, and I agree that this weekend may be the right time to start working on her formal introduction to Kilifi. She may not want to come out of the room at first, so just take your cues from her as to how far to let her go.

Cary,
When i introduced Maliik to the other 2 savannahs, I put Juba (the biggest and most calm) in a crate and let them see and sniff each other. You can see from Juba's belly up pose that he was sending a clear message that he welcomed Maliik and couldn't wait to play with him. When Maliik's body language showed he was ready for more, I opened the crate door. Maybe that technique would work for you, especially if it appears both cats need short amounts of exposure to each other.

I was thinking about that But I do not have a crate. Just little kitty carriers. Wait.... Maybe I do... I will have to check when I get home. We did have years ago. That would make me feel a bit more secure. I am afraid Kilifi will try to be a bully. If not, I suppose I could buy one. Oh the expense... LOL

The small kitty carrier would work too. They just need to see and be able to sniff each other without fear of physical confrontation.
