Ok Seriously. I do really think a corner has been turned with Azidi. I was just in lying on the floor after giving her a little kitty crack and I took her little mouse and held it out to her while jiggling it. She got brave, came over and sniffed it while I held it. I tossed it a few inches towards her and she pawed it and batted it a bit. Then I picked up the wand toy and began moving it around. She watched intently but refused to chase it. UNTIL I PUT IT IN HER CARRIER. Then she came out and looked and sniffed and pawed. I moved it around all over and several times she came close enough for me to see her little teeth. Not her fangs, the little tiny ones in front. I swear she was smiling. Anyway, we played for almost a half hour and finally I got the impression she was tired. I laid the wand down and she quietly meandered under the bed and laid down and closed her eyes. Don't want to push her too much, so I will let it rest tonight.
Oops. Maybe I spoke too soon. She is playing now.. Running around the room. HEH HEH this Azidi cam is cool!!!

Dirty underwear... Leave it to a WOMAN to come up with that . I was thinking more along the lines of a sweaty shirt.. I really am not sure human pheromones are compatible with kitty sniffers. Well maybe. But ... Ummm... Oh Never mind. Darned women got me all flustered. :confused:

OK. After I left here last night, I went bqck in to be with Azidi, and I took my green laser pointer. I shined it around and "zidi" watched it with interst. Then she began following it. After a couple of minutes, she was chasing it all around. We played about a half hour before I had to go to bed. She got so close to me that I could have petted her...but I resisted temptation and did not touch her. What I thought was quite significant was that if I shifted my weight around, she did NOT pull away. I was sitting crosslegged on the floor. She does seem to be interested in being friendly, but still has lingering fears.
I shall continue the kitty crack and playing and see if she will sniff me. I am going to let HER make first contact. And I will continue to observe on the Azidi cam.

Oh and Kilifi ( "Kiki" ) is coming to terms with me working with Zidi. She has not attacked my legs, except when she is trying to be insistant that she must play NOW. She has gained a lot of energy and her weight is again at 8 lbs 8 oz as it was when Zidi came to live with us. So the initial jealousy appears to have been resolved in her mind. I know Kiki is anxious to meet Zidi, but I want to be sure all is settled in before I introduce more stress to Azidi.

Maybe I can avoid any dirty underwear introduction..
