Yes Chris. The "kinda wild" ones can be a test of our resolve. But when the connection is made, it is so sweet and worth all the effort. Zidi is too active for the hand resting. She does not sit still...always moving. BUT, I am hoping I can calm her a bit.

Patti has given me so much priceless info on dealing with Ms Azidi, I don't know what i would do without her. I probably would still be trying to get Zidi out from under the bed.

The Kennel/crate thing is most surely easier on the contained kitty. Being bigger, they might not think they are off to the vet. LOL ( Kilifi's least favorite thing. )

Let me send energy to you guys for a successful intro program for Ziggy.

We are happy to have you here and while I don't post a lot these days, I have been following your progress with Zidi and am thrilled at the progress you have made! Keep up the great work!

Thank you Paige. I am really stoked that she is responding so well and so quickly. I just hope the intros will go as smoothly this weekend. I know Kilifi wants to have a playmate and Azidi NEEDS a playmate. SO. THAT is the next hurdle to overcome.

And one more thing folks... I have a case excema on my fingers, so they are covered with bandaids...and THAT is the reason for all the typos. ( THAT is my story...and I'm stickin' to it. )

Cary, once you feel more established in your relationship with Azidi you can try the clothes pin or binder clips method to try to trim her nails. I have not been so successful with clothes pins but I have used 1-1/4" binder clips on a girl here whom I otherwise cannot touch her feet. This is a girl I got as an adult who came to me very skittish, but once she decided she liked me she became glued to my lap, constantly kneading me to the point where I had scratches all over my body. I finally tried the binder clips method, and although she struggles somewhat, is still manageable so that I can get her nails trimmed.

Heh. I have to pay closer attention o Azidi's level of stimulation. I was not really paying attention while I was petting her and I now have 5 little perfectly shaped claw holes in my arm. She will be in time out for a while.
Damn she is fast. I didn't even see it coming, nor could I have had the time to react if I had seen it.

Oh well. Not the first time I have been clawed...nor will it be the last I am sure.

She is already talking through the kitty cam and trying to lure me back in. LOL
But I have to get ready for work.

I think you're got to put a lot more stress on Azidi than she will be able to handle by taking her to the vet's, but she may surprise me...

Well, I will give that a lot of thought. I need to take her down to be checked out and introduce her. I will see how that goes. it will be several weeks yet.
