You can purchase online and have trees delivered. There are usually some great deals on eBay, you just have to pay attention to the bidding war. I've gotten a couple that way that turned out to be quite nice.

Sounds like great progress - keep it up! Loop the leash on something sturdy so that you don't have to hold on to it and can go back and forth between the cats petting, or playing, or giving treats, or whatever...

Another 30 min of "talking" this afternoon. This time in Azidi's room. Zidi tried to go from under the bed to the closet and Kilifi tried to intercept her. But dad was quick enough to keep them from making contact. This is gonna be a long process.
Careful Cary.... We don't want any fur samples, and worse we do not need any of your Blood Samples either.

Neither do I. Especially fur samples. Not to worried about blood samples...at least my blood. I clot quickly.
If you have Kilifi on the leash perhaps you should just let them do the face-to-face without human intervention. They're going to have to do it at some point in time, and as long Kilifi is restrained so that Azidi can get away you shouldn't see any fur flying.
One other thing you might consider is creating a 'hiding place' for Azidi in the living room - a space small enough that only she can get into it. I was amazed that she used to not only fit into, but had two litters in a round cat condo that was 12" diameter by 10" high.

She has a space in the closet in her room that has a small space behind a box. Kilifi cannot get in there, but Azidi darts in and is gone. LOL

It'll take a lot longer if you don't allow contact. They need to nose bump and butt sniff and smack each other upside the head to move forward. Fur will fly. It's inevitable and it's part of their process of establishing hierarchy. One or both of them may even get a boo boo at some point. Let them do their physical altercations before their nails grow sharp again.
My guys are leaving fur clumps around all the time from their wrestling which comes complete with screaming and growling and aggressive as well as play posturing. I monitor and interfere only when I'm sure someone may get hurt. This is going to be harder on you than on them.

Oh I know you're right Deb. But I also know you know how hard it is to just let them "fight it out". As a cat daddy I just want to be there to protect both of them. ( come on Cary...cats were around long before you were...)
