You might have been able to find clickers at the local PetsMart, but totally agree with saving on costs when you can.
You definitely need to start working with them separately and get them consistently responsive to the clicker before trying to work with them together. I agree that Kilifi will likely be easy to train. I think Azidi could be fairly easy as well with the easy things because she also wants attention (even though much of the time her behavior belies that), but it may be more difficult for her with the tough (aka scary) things, so she will probably take more time. Nevertheless, if you can get Kilifi to respond to the clicker by going to her spot (e.g., a place mat that you can take with you and put anywhere you want) you will have more control over her when you take her into Azidi's room. If you can control her 'attacks' Azidi will not be so scared all the time.

That was what I was thinking Patti. Kilifi and Azidi separately. Kilifi to get her "spot trained" an d calm trained. Azidi I will just work on calming. Then later spot training. I was reading some and I need to get 2 "Spots" Thinking maybe kitty placemats for feeding might be easy to use. Big enough for them to sit on. It will be a slow but steady process.

I was just in playing with Azidi. Bonding more. We were playing hot and fast and after a chase the birdie, there would be a head butt and long down the back pet. At one point, I believe she became a little overstimulated. ( She has a history of this ) As I was running my hand down her back, she turned and opened her mouth like she was gonna nip me. But she just stopped and looked at me., and I at her, and she turned back around. I of course praised her and patted her butt, (She does like that ) and went back to playing. She was more calmed and focused on playing. I think she realized she was about to bite the hand that loves her, and thought better of it.
But I found it interesting and thought I would share with my extended Savannah family.

I'm finding the same kind of hold back behavior with Atticus. When he wrestles with me, I can feel his strength and when he starts getting really rowdy, he'll pull back without me giving any indication that it's getting uncomfortable. He does the same thing when he plays with the other cats. I love observing animal behavior -- never ceases to amaze me.
