Door has been open for 45 min. Kiki has been in. Zidi is in her high hiding spot in the closet, but Kiki knows she is there. NO NOISE yet. Well, Zidi let out a very quiet growl at first, but now all is quiet and Kiki is waiting but not threatening. FINGERS CROSSED!!
Just leave it open until you go to bed. And if you can take Kiki to bed with you and shut the door, leave Azidi's door open for the night - or for as long as Kiki can stand being shut away with you... I guess maybe this is something you should try on a night where you don't have to work the next day ...

Yes. Tonight went well, but Zidi did not come out of the closet. I took Kilifi out and Zidi still refused to come out.. I closed the door and she came out and played and loved. I will do more tomorrow.
They will get it figured out... Just will take a little longer. I am glad to hear they are not fighting and that a lone is a move forward.

It is a long way to go, but I am sure IN TIME, they will be ok with each other.
Just be consistent and leave the door open when you're home. It has been shut on Azidi for months now, it will take longer than a day for her to get used to it being open. She has had three years of practice hiding from people and other cats, those habits will take time to change. In the meantime, with the door open Kilifi will become more used her presence, and hopefully more acceptable over time.

Well, I think there are a couple of folks who are interested in how the session went today with Andrea and Azidi.
At 2 pm Andrea texted me and said she was gonna start. When Andrea make contact with Azidi, Zidi was surprised and a little startled. When Andrea explained who she was and what she was doing, Zidi calmed right down.
Andréa said that Azidi’s lower 3 chakras were all closed off. The upper 4 were almost closed. Andrea did some chakra opening work and all the chakras opened up fine. She did some healing work with rose quartz and that seemed to calm Zidi. At the start, Andréa felt that Zidi had an upset tummy, but by the time the opening work was done, the tummy felt fine.
Andrea then talked with Azidi and Zidi told her that she felt love from me and was happy here. Andrea told her that I really loved her and wanted her ears to stop itching, and let me work with her ears. Andrea said it felt like Azidi received the idea well.
Next week I am to tell Azidi on Tuesday that it is the day Andrea will talk to her. Then when Andrea texts me, go in and tell Azidi Andrea is here. She will talk to you now. That way it will not startle her.
She also gave Kilifi a little touch. She said Kilifi is much more calm than last week, and is a little love bug.
All in all, I am happy. Azidi IS more clam and lets me weigh her for the first time. I took the scale in her room, turned it on and showed it to her. She looked at it and stepped on it and stood there until it beeped. I praised her a lot for that. Next time I will have treats for her. ( Dumb me, I forgot..) She was a little lighter. 6 lbs 14.5 oz. But she is eating real good. So hopefully. I’m not sure the weight she got from the vet last time was accurate. She was not cooperating then.
So there ya have it. Now to see how she progresses this week.
