She let me get a couple more shots. Now she is ready for bed with momma
I tried whole prey but could not convince my cats that this was food and not just toys. That would have been my preference. I don't know of any local dealers but many folks here use either Haretoday or RodentPro and they deliver using dry ice. Both of my cats were weaned directly to raw so at least I did not have to transition them. My breeder is in Orange County and he gets his meat directly from Foster Farms. They apparently think that he has a restaurant as he buys a substantial amount (>50 lbs) every week. I seem to remember that a new co-op had gone into business somewhere between OC and San Diego but I don't remember where I saw the info.
I have been scouring FB and the internet for resources

and what I have found is obviously some new butcher shops in say El Cajon, and raw-specific pet stores ( I don't like my meat mixed but so be it) such as in Imperial Beach & Chula Vista. The new El Cajon storefront is going to look costly but they are grass-fed/antibiotic-hormone-free. Then I see an online but co-op delievery service called Creston Valley Meats- they cater to raw fed diets and have human-grade meats as well and do co-ops with people it seems. They look relatively inexpensive if you have the freezer space and ideally share some boxes. They have some of what you might see in part from Haretoday. There was one other Butcher with reasonable pricing I found 30% less in cost in the area, if you want to know the information, I'd be happy to find it.
Rodentpro is by far the best and so is Haretoday for online ordering. I used to order for my Great Danes (R.I.P) upwards of 100lbs or more of raw meat.

Yes, you heard that right from both companies so both companies are highly familiar with me and I would order just about eveything on the menu. I finally found someone to go in on an order, even with rodentpro since the dry ice would still be perfect upon arrival so I'd ship it into me and take my portions out of the order and ship out to a friend in another state on the same day with my Fedex account as I get 40% for military affiliation. Cheaper than USPS or UPS.
As far as Creston Valley Meats goes, it'd be nice to try them out with someone. You have to buy in bulk and I think he delievers twice a month or once a month as he is in the SF bay area or way up north somewhere and doe the drive just for the meat. Take a look. I fel like redesigning his website for him however

as that is what I do and its pretty basic but it does get the job done apparently. Some have said great things about his orders. I was up late

to say the least.
I'd love to either go in on orders with someone if shipping or in bulk like that or simply pick up at a grass-fed butcher. There should be some places that don't realize the business potential perhaps that sell whole prey etc like you would find from Hare-today. If I had the investment, I would completely go into business here doing what Haretoday does. Back in the midwest where I lived in the past, years, there was a local farmer that would sell rabbits and quail etc and that was local. He was awesome. There was also the source plant of all the grocery stores meat that would allow bulk pickup of meat on Wednesdays locally at the factory. Been there and boy is it a lot of meat and bodily fluids around hanging..... kinda like a horror story but only up to USDA standards LOL!!!

It worked out in the end that way best and I am sure Hare Today missed the large orders. Poor Tracey had to package my 100 lb orders as Great danes can eat a car if you allowed it
