Do savannahs need/prefer a larger diameter with their play tunnels?~Emily

They don't need it, can't tell if they prefer it. My boys play with the larger diameter tunnel more than they do with the smaller ones. I think it's because they can turn around in it standing up and they really love taking their favorite toys in there to play.

Kristin. I am wondering why all the ithings can't upload their pictures correctly. MUST be an ifault. iweirdness

I can't upload my Nikon pictures either though...the files are too big and changing them is a huge hassle. I usually upload them to Facebook, then save them from facebook back to my computer and the file size is better, but Facebook wasn't letting me save them -_-

I am rather amazed that Atticus has not fetched this to bed yet......

I actually tried several times and ways myself, and ended up having to go for someone in BC who then shipped my Miš via WestJet. I was ready. I had looked for a long time from afar, then upclose, and after humming and haahing for a while, once I decided I was ready, I wanted one NOW, and couldn't stand the idea of waiting for months to get one. So many breeders claim kittens to be sold before birth, and Im not so sure how much I like the idea of placing a deposit on a kitten that might not exist. Maybe the litter has only three, and I'm number six on the list. Now I'd have to wait at least another 5-6 months. Wasn't the ideal for me.
I'm fine with placing a deposit on a kitten that already exists, but on the idea of a possible birth....no thanks. Especially with so many sites saying 'no refunds'. Thoughts?

This week has been so discouraging!! I have been receiving a lot of criticism from people about getting a Savannah, and even getting a cat. For most people it's the cost, and for others it's the fact that there are many cats and kittens that are abandoned and need a home, and some people think it's too long of an investment. I wish more people could join the excitement and hype with me, instead of rain on my parade.

On top of that my taxes were messed up this year, and instead of getting a tax refund... I owe them money!! I was hoping some of the refund could go towards a kitten :(

But silver linings....

I've been promoted to manager! I begin my training at the end of March!! To celebrate I bought a new cat toy :big grin:

I hear that same response all the time too. My Savannah is 3 years old, and is the best cat I've ever had! Put in lots of good years, feeding strays. Bringing cats in, that didn't have homes, etc. So I look at it this way....if I want a Savannah Cat, I'm going to get one!

Today I went and met my second Savannah kitten (went with an F2 instead of the F1). Very excited about what others would call, my next designer cat. Who cares! I love the breed and that is what matters.

Don't listen to the negative, do what is best for you.
