Hi everyone, My name is Trish. I am about to become a part of the Savannah experience and have been searching the internet for information both good and bad and then checking back for real life experiences on this forum. The one truth that I think I have found is that nothing that I watch or read can prepare me for this new experience
I am 54 with a husband, a daughter in college, and a 10 year old female Himalayan. Cats have been a part of my family my entire life. I have never chosen a cat before, they have always chosen me by showing up at my back door wet, cold, tired, and hungry, with the exception of a Himalayan that was given to my daughter as a gift. I have had stray cats bring me their litters of kittens that we would raise and wean, keeping one and finding loving homes for the rest.
I have lived with playful cats, aloof cats, snuggle bunny cats, aggressive cats, cats from hell cats, clever cats, and not so very clever cats. I have loved and respected them all and been given the greatest of gifts which is their love in return.
Thank you so much to this forum and all the people who participate. I have read stories that have made me laugh out loud and stories that made me cry.
I am going to adopt two Savannah babies and have one chosen but I am having trouble choosing the second one and so now I will head down to the questions and advice area to see if any of you can help me.
