My first savannah took a while to warm up to me or anyone else. The best thing I did was let stay in a back utility room where I put a box on the solar water heater. That became his spot and he was able to be social later on.

Right now he is sleeping on my legs, so I think he has me figured out.

She will warm up, if you read through older threads on when I got Nyah, you will see the transformation from antisocial to lap kitty. As I learned from all the knowledge on this board, let her do it on her own time in her own way. It will happen! She has had a rough go, so it may take a bit, but the end is worth it!

oh yeah, we already knew that before we bought her.... just hoping! I love her no matter what... I just hope she warms up to me a bit. she gets in these really loving / purring phases for like 5 minutes, where all she wants to do is be pet.... almost like she's in heat or something... but the other 99% of the time she's kind of hesitant to have people around her. i'm sure its just because she's new... and she did spend the first four months of her life in a cage... the breeder, joy peele, lives with her mother now and doesn't let the cats roam around... they're in pens pretty close to 24/7.
Oh dear how awful :( I saw where someone rescued a savannah that spent 3 years in a cage.......... Turned out to be a huge lover, it will just take time....
