Hello Savvy Lovers; from NorCal :)

In the end, it was a good thing for me as I didn't enjoy the job I was at. But I have been turning in resumes and applications non stop with about 6 interviews now. Nothing has been a go though. It's really tough during summer because everyone kids/adults are out of school now and applying for jobs too, so the job market is flooded at the moment. We are getting by though, I can't complain much. LOL!

I'm glad you found the culprit for the soft stools - Giardia and Coccidia are both fairly common ailments, but the good news is that they can both be treated with antibiotics. Sorry to hear about losing your job, I hope something wonderful comes along your way!

Paul, sending good karma your way. I hope you find a job that you enjoy. Maliik came home with coccidia & giardia too and was fine after the course of meds. When meds were finished he started eating like there was no tomorrow and seemed to put on noticeable weight after each meal. It's amazing how they grow.

Well, Sorte is back to not doing so well again... :( He was doing good after about 3 days of taking his new medications. His stool became completely solid for the first time EVER since he's been here and he seemed to have more energy for a few days after that. His eating habits didn't really change much. It was hit or miss with him eating a good amount of food or not.

He finished his round of Albon about 3-4 days ago and things have been going down hill again. He started having semi-solid "leaky butt", little pieces laying around and he started not eating as much again. Then as of this morning, he is back to having loose to runny and VERY stinky stool, plus large spots of watery leaky butt with spots of blood in it again. :( He is obviously not feeling good as he is kind of whining instead of his happy meows. Also, I gave him his favorite kibble with plain yogurt this morning and he only ate about half as much as he normally would.

I took another stool sample in this morning for the vet to check out. I just want our little man to be OK finally! :( Poor guy has seemed to have issues since he got here. To boot, I have emailed the breeder about these conditions and she has always had a laid back, "meh, not to worry" attitude about his issues. Since she found out about him supposedly not having a heart murmur, she hasn't answered back my emails. I could call her, but there really is no reason to. I was just being an informer for her to let her know how he's doing and if she doesn't want to answer back, oh well I guess.
