FWIW, I wouldn't buy from someone who breeds so many different breeds. My preference is for a breeder who does only savannahs or savannahs and one other breed. The F1s he shows on his website aren't impressive to me. Red flag for me if the adults are unapproachable even with the caveat that not all cats are going to be friendly to strangers.

I know there is no price, but for someone looking to buy a Savannah I'm looking for kittens that resemble a serval. I'm just asking on experiences from this breeder and does this kitten look like an f2 Savannah. If he doesn't I'll just take my losses and walk away.

Geoffreys are so different from Savannahs it's not funny. And I know of no savannahs bred down from geoffreys. That makes no sense. I smell bs.

The kitten in your avatar does not look f1 or f2 to me. It looks more Bengal. Can you post a bigger pic here?

Remember that what has most of us addicted to savannahs is the over-the-top personality. I would be primarily concerned with the personality over how much resemblance to a serval. The kitten is not "typey" but is definitely cute. He looks like he will have a much heavier build than your average savannah. Not all breeders breed for the savannah look - many add Bengal to the mix and it results in gorgeous cats. The cats are just not as tall, lanky and big-eared.

The several times that I was at my breeder's house, he always had at least 2 or more of the F1 and F2 savannahs wandering around and I was able to interact with them. His cats are not kept in cages. They weren't overly friendly - more or less checked us out and went on with their play, but they were not hostile. F1s often communicate thru hissing and I saw very quickly the difference between the conversational hiss of the serval-variety versus the angry pissed off hiss of one! I did not meet the mother of my cat and I would not expect a cat with kittens or one that had just weaned her kittens to be friendly but all of his other cats were fine with being touched and petted. So I guess one question I would ask is was he able to interact with his cats or were they standoffish with him as well?

He was able to pet and interact with his cats. He does seem like he loves the kittens and bottle raises them. The kittens love him and purr like crazy. My kitten has more traits of the mom than the cat, except the big ears, as the mom looks like a heavier built f1. He just looks a little short for 10 weeks compared to my f3 when he was 10weeks. Thank you all for the help. This is my 2nd Savannah in about 2 months and I wanted a pair so my other kitten could have a companion.
