He escaped only because the thieves arrived, otherway he never went out. I already bought a GPS system for him and I want also to arrange a place in my garden to let him out during the day and I also want to make him get used to the harness and the leash that what I was trying to do before he escaped....How you do with your babies? you take them out once a day or they come with you everywhere? Alpha cannot stay around because here nobody has a cat like him. When they found him they said that he was a bengal...

Very glad to hear that Alpha is on the road to recovery. What a shame that you have to be away for so long but at least you know he is in good hands. Once you return you will need to think hard about how to make your home escape proof, and/or invest in a GPS system for Alpha (if you have anything left in the bank after your vet costs!)

But you take him/her outside every day? For how long? And what he/she can do? For example he/she can't go up on a tree or chase something...What they do when they go out with leashes? I can't imagine a cat going out with leash...

I do not take Rafiki out every day. I only take her out on the weekends when it isn't too hot. When the weather is nice, she will stay out there for 2 or 3 hours. She will run up the hillside and look at birds and bugs and chase lizards. She may walk around the perimeter of the house. And then she likes to just lounge around in the gazebo waiting for birds and lizards to come near. I usually leave a book up there to keep myself entertained. To put it mildly, I do not get much exercise on these excursions. It is a lot of standing around while she enjoys herself. Other people are able to take their cats out in the car and run errands with them. Initially I could but then Rafiki developed liver fibrosis at the age of 2 and had to go to the vet at least every other week for 6 months. As a result, she now associates the car with the vet so I am no longer able to take her with me when I go out.

Yes I take Taj out every day for a long walk...I don't let him climb trees or anything like that, but he loves walking and exploring.

Today I'm back from my holiday and I immediately went to visit Alpha. The guy that cares about him yesterday told that Alpha did a mess! He bited the cage so he turned up his jaw again! I thought that I would have brought him at home when I came back and now I have to start all over again! The guy took him out of the cage and put him in a room only for him and today he tried to open the door! He is terribile! Tomorrow the vet will visit him and are what He can do and if it is possible to avoid another surgery...
