Buy a Scat mat....it works for me...I have the expensive Pella windows with the blinds in between the glass, it sure keeps them away from sitting on the wide window ledge...they learn quick when they get zapped from the mat!! LOLDarwin was chewing on my wooden blinds; opening them didn't help much.
I tried opening them more, but he just did a pull-up with his back feet dangling in the air. I haven't caught him chewing on them lately, so maybe it was just a teething phase.
For the strings, I bought small cleats that I installed up high and wrap the strings around them.
