How do I keep my Savannah off counters?

We have found that our Savannah cats like space and some lucky Savannah cat owners have been able to put in overhead cat runs, and they look great. I would like to do the same but some Savannah kittens never grow up ,like ours, so I put in a outside run for them, I may make it larger this year.

No one gave our cats the orange memo. They bat the peels off the counter like a game. They don't eat it, just send them flying.

i've heard one lady who eat one orange each day. She let the pit off on counter in one bowl each morning and she is trowing it out after cleaning her kitchen every evening after the supper.

However, the most effective way apparently, it's the orange juice on his paw nothing worse apparently for a cat to lick his paw with the orange smell.

No one told Jarvis that.
He drinks orange juice out of the glass and positively stalked me when we had honeybell oranges last month. It was worse than when I am cutting raw chicken (but he always gets at least a bite before I start cooking).

Yeah, Just let them get up on the counters and tables. You gotta pick and choose your battles. If you don't want your cat up on the counters, then get another kind of cat.

So... Cheryl.... I'm curious..... how has the attempt to train your savannah to stay off the counters progressed? (i.e. How's that working out for you?)

Ya know, this got me thinking. Another way to solve the issue is to get rid of counter tops!

Savannah cats do what they want , my wife was about to make a couple of fruit pies last summer when the phone rang ,when she got back one of her pie pans sitting on the counter had a paw print in the dough.

We end up stalking Sasha when the kitchen stove is hot just to make sure he isn't trolling around the hot pots. All other times we have accepted that it's a lost battle and clear the counters of any potential hazards and let him go wherever he wants.

It's kind of weird but the more we try stopping him, the more obsessed and determined he gets. The weirder part is that if we ignore him he just jumps down. Maybe it's not a fun game if he doesn't have us chasing him!

Depending on your stovetop there are covers for hotplates/burners that you can find online... when we renovated our kitchen we went to an induction cooktop to make it safer for kitty paws :)
