Another thing you can do is when your house gets dry, boil water on the stove with the lid off the pan ... that helps keep static away.

I am hoping for some food recommendations. While Neo is about 2.5yrs old the breeder recommended Purina One Pro Plan kitten formula. Should I keep him on this or switch? I need to place an order for more food soon so thought I would ask here first.

Neo really doesn't need kitten food, which has many more calories than adult food in many cases... Does he only eat dry food ?

He does only eat dry food right now. I guess because the jag cat doesn't fully mature until 3-4 years that is why she had him on kitten formula still.

The first year is when the most growth occurs. My breeders basically told me to feed them however much they would eat during that first year. They ate about 8-10 oz of meat per day. I noticed that my cats started eating less at around 18 months. Now that Jammu (15 lb pixie bob - also takes longer to mature) is 2 years old, he is getting a bit pudgy so I am weighing all their food and tracking what they eat. He is currently eating about 6.5-7.5 oz per day. They also get a few freeze dried duck hearts and freeze dried chicken as treats every day.

Have you read the ingredients in Pro Plan? I would not advise feeding any food (at any age) that has rice or another grain as its second ingredient, then corn gluten meal, chicken by-products (that's the feet, heads, beaks, etc.), etc. If you are only going to feed dry I would recommend a higher quality food such as Evo, Earthborn, Taste of the Wild, Blue Wilderness, etc.

That is what I thought and used to do for my other cats. I was just going by what the breeder told me he was currently on. I am shooting her an email now to ask about switching him.

Which one do you recommend? I like the taste of the wild it is what I used to feed but the information about the company that makes it and all the recalls they have had with their various brands makes me leary.
