Thank you! I think that may just be the lighting as I trust Betsy's knowledge of kitties and she said he is a smoke. Betsy is providing me daily updates on his growth and what he did, plus answering my 1200 emails I have sent already. I feel like all she has been doing is sitting at her computer responding to me! And she has yet to say "Becki, step away from your iPad, go feed your human children, go pet your horses, throw a ball for Nyah, anything but send me another email!" A true testament to Betsy, there. With that, I know she will be sending lots of pictures of him so we can all watch him grow and see how his coat changes. Because of course you guys want to share in my obnoxious "look at my baby day 2 and 3 and now 4", right? I am thinking Betsy will thank you if it distracts me long enough to NOT send her another email!

Ps. I would think it is cool if he was chocolate, it wouldn't upset me a bit. I love the odd ball colors and that would be fine with me. I will be happy either way.

smoke can come in any color of melanistic ; brown black, chocolate, cinnamon, and the dilute colors blue, lilac, fawn, and the modified dilute colors caramel, taupe, and carmel-fawn (or what ever a cinnamon modified dilute is called). It caused the silver inhibitor gene and makes a melanistic cat a smoke. Otherwise the cat is silver.
