These are the pictures he came with, so I believe he was much younger in these.. are these just too small and dark because they are off of my cell phone?

Definitely a cute kittty, but looks more Bengally, if anything, to me... I'm definitely not an expert, but I've had 4 Bengals (2 currently) and 5 SVs (3 are kittens)... It would def help if you knew a lil' more about his background, but, ultimately, if he's helped you through some tough times, (I've had some nasty times too) does it really matter??? I swear, there's been times where my cat (not specific to one) has known that I need a "just headbutt the kitty, take a deep breath and relax and scratch my ears" moment... Animals are wonderful like that...

Do you know where he came from, Tanessa? Is it someone with a cattery name? That might be a clue to if he is a bengal mix, or a lower generation "A" savannah with a lot of Bengal background....

Yes, he really does have a great personality. Not like any normal cats I have ever seen. I think you all probably know better than I would, but when I look at him he just doesn't look like a normal cat to me.. maybe I am just crazy. Haha he has made me feel better so far though. When I walk in the door at home he greets me and jumps on me and cuddles and purrs all night while sleeping.

I'm really not positive where he came from, and I always feel bad asking questions, especially if they think I am doubting them.. :-( when they put the effort out to do something nice for me, thinking it was something I wanted, ya know? Also, he listens when you tell him no :)

Hello,

I was just given a little boy. He is ten weeks old, about 4/5 pounds big.
I need help to determine whether he is actually Savannah or not?
To me, this looks like a beautiful, sweet tabby, who will probably grow ino his role as master of your household pretty quickly. Savannah is not a description of looks, it goes to whether there is Serval down the line somewhere. You need to ask.
In the meantime, eighteen claws, four legs, muscles and eyes, ears and teeth surrounding a developing mind is, I'm sure, going to give you a lovely and lovable companion whatever his background. A cat is, after all, basically a cat!
ps: read your TS Eliot's book called Old Possums Book of Practical Cats. It starts with the following:
"The Naming of Cats

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.
First of all, there's the name that the family use daily,
Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James,
Such as Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey -
All of them sensible everyday names.

There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter -
But all of them sensible everyday names.

But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?

Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum -
Names that never belong to more than one cat.

But above and beyond there's still one name left over,
And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover -
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.

When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
His ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular Name. "

He's very cute and I am sure he brings you lots of joy! And really that is the most important thing :)

Now, the advantage of getting a cat with no known background is that you can decide he is anything you please! Who is going to prove you wrong? LOL! I don't think this kitten is a Savannah, but everyone is right he could well be a later generation outcrossed kitten... or he could be a Bengal mix... I think more likely the latter if not just domestic shorthair. You can make up the most fanciful cross of breeds for his background if you felt inspired...there are people out there crossing everything together so who knows?
