Litter boxes are not covered. One is on patio, thus cat door must be used and he has only started using the cat door for 2 years. He is 6 yrs. old. We use Tidy Cat litter. He has been having this issue for about a year now. He used to be extremely shy and would run and hide when anyone came over. In the last few months, he has gotten better about not running immediately. Friends can now see him from a few feet away. Get to close and he takes off. He has only recently started to be seen playing with toys since Tink leaves them everywhere. Thanks for any and all ideas. Sue
