Oh HALLEJLUJAH, Tort has a camera! (Thank you JP for your kindness.) Obviously those cats were just waiting for the opportunity to pose for something other than an iPhone. Look at those precious faces. Yuki knows how to work the camera to her advantage. Yeti, bless his heart, doesn't care if he has a good or bad side, he just wants to be seen. Love 'em both.

(JC, not JP) (just for clarification) :)

Thanks Deb, I knew you would appreciate the better pictures.

You nailed it with the cats.

Yuki was very used to being photographed while at A1 for 3 years. She didn't equate the iPhone with what she considered cameras and until now has been tough to get to pose. She naturally fell into it as soon as the real camera powered on.

Yeti is just a natural ham and like you said, loves to be paid attention. The sound of the camera powering up triggered his curiosity, especially when the lens auto-extended. He had to get his face up to it, and even tried fitting the whole camera in his mouth. Then he saw the strap and the game was on.

The picture where he is staring at me from on top of a 20 gallon fish tank was taken in the kitchen. I was eating some mac and cheese which he was trying tell me I should share. You can see one of my two weed whackers in the background. They are not much use in this weather unless I want to win a nice new white jacket that ties in the back.

:big grin:

No worries... Technically I did not give him the camera... There was a contingency for it :) He know what he has to do, and I hope everyone can enjoy :)

Ok, so, seems the original reason for the camera was forgotten in all the excitement. Quite surprised Deborah didn't catch it. Oh, that's right, she's all mellowed trying to deal with the eyelash problem.
So, let's see some better shots of the erupting spots!

She can really grab a viewers attention with those mighty orbs. She has a small head that helps the eyes be so big. While her neck is narrow and slighty longer than a domestic, could you imagine if she had a full serval scale neck! She definitely has an alien quality to her looks. :alien:

What is that? An ultrasound?! LOL
To help you with a camera choice, the images here are reduced to 5 Megapixel from 10 Megapixel Pictures due to server limitations, 10 MP and are suitable for framing up to 36" size (Poster).

I am including a picture of Jake and Sylvester for comparison.

This picture is with slow glass and with a flash. You will note some eye glare.

View attachment 10996
This picture is taken with fast glass (F2.8) and no flash. Note the eyes have no glare.

There is nothing like a picture to bring back millions of great memories... No picture, memory fades.

LOL....the eyes might not have "glare" but I think that cat does!

I took a couple more, but those will wait till tomorrow evening (assuming I have to go to work, earlier if not).Yeti wants to come after the camera head on so getting side shots has been a chore. Had to hold him with his front legs in the air so he'd stop squirming just long enough for the shot. Will load it onto the laptop tomorrow and get it resized. Then we will see how the pic turned out.

If you try to hide or secure the camera strap that may help you with his fascination for the camera. I do not think that there is a red light on the front of the camera, but if there is, cover it with tape. Cats like LED's because since you are probably holding the camera (vs a tripod) the camera is moving and the red light will get their attention.
