Wow, that's real encouraging. I've already purchased the kitten. I can't believe this. I had read that they are a reputable breeder. I will be driving to pick her up as I live in Arkansas. I'm about a 6 hr drive from the breeder.

Unfortunately there are a few stories like mine floating around that have never been posted. But I purchased my kitten while A1 was owned by someone else entirely so I can't speak about the new management although the admin of this forum was not impressed upon speaking with the new owners over the phone. Ringworm glows a neon green under a black light, so maybe you should take a light with you to check there.

Not trying to speak for anyone other myself though

A local breeder recommended them. I hope it's a good experience. I guess I shouldn't have waited so long to join the site.

I'll be sure to post pics when I get her. I'm actually very excited. I've been waiting do long now that I've purchased just about everything imaginable for her. I actually went a little overboard. I've build wall steps and shelves. I have a new lotus cat tree. I've already got all the food containers, food, toys, water fountains.

The only thing I haven't got is meds for ringworms.

Hope you won't need the meds, best of luck with her. No matter what, I'm sure you will undoubtedly love her.

Just be sure to check her over for any bald or gray spots, those are classic for ringworm. Having said that, ringworm is a nuisance but it is curable, and there are a lot of things worse than ringworm and more difficult to treat.

Agree. And it wouldn't hurt to ask if the kitten has shown and/or been treated for digestive issues or diarrhea. If the answer is "yes", ask what types of tests were done to identify the cause and what treatment was provided.

Agreed, you should ask if the kitten has had any URIs (upper respiratory infections) as well. I would actually be more worried about URIs than diarrhea.

The ringworm that my kitty had was not detected on the blue light , it didn't glow, it was grown . Look for any black spots on ears or neck and paws. It's disgusting cause you have to bleach everything cause the spores can live dormant. On a positive note, he's a beauty and wonderful little *kitten. He loves me. He is the best super playful loves to play ball and fetch and sit on my lap. And a talker , all kinds of noises depending on his mood. He likes to jump from floor to my back which hurts like hell and I discourage. We even play hide and seek and yes he seeks me out then runs away. And I love his black nose and black smile. So if that tells you anything, your getting a bundle of joy. Have fun!

The fact of the matter is not whether it is bad or treatable but that I paid a lot money for animal that was sent to me w ringworm undisclosed.
