Thanks! The stick of angle iron was 12' long so with a ceiling of 10', I sunk the post in 3' of cement. Let's just say, it won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

It would be nice to see anyone else's ideas and what they have done in their enclosures or cat trees. I love stealing other peoples great ideas:big grin: ....I'm now checking all my neighbors trees to see if anyone needs a trim. :Geeky: That's a great idea:up:

This is the cat tree I welded together out of my left over scraps of metal. It has lasted really well for being outdoors for the past three years. I covered the platforms with turf carpet and didn't expect it to last long with all the cats and weather. As you can see in my second photo, Judah prefers the real thing, so that tree takes a beating. Spoiled bunch they are. :big grin:

Love the tree, Kay! Here is a pic of my cat porch taken a few years ago when I first completed it. The tree on the right is made of a big limb that fell from a tree in my yard; it's attached to a piece of oak countertop, and I added pine shelves and a basket and there's another long limb on the left. I change it all the time, usually putting another conventional cat tree out there for the summer. It's a small area ( 5' x 5' x 9' tall) but does the trick....in fact, I have 2 out there right now that wanted out there today, and it's only about 35 degrees out....:) Since we live in Michigan with cold winters, I stapled heavy guage clear shower curtains over the screens to cut the wind during winter. I like your idea of a live tree...the fake foliage didn't fare so well lol!

I like your limbs, lucky find. Cats enjoy the vertical space, so a small space like yours works great. We don't have any oak trees around, so everywhere we go I am on the look out for a dead tree.:Geeky:

Here in Arizona the coldest day might be 50, and rain is so rare it's a none issue. The big surprise was all of my cats love the hot summer days outside. It's 115 degrees and they are all outside sun bathing. I like your idea of changing it up for them occasionally. Mine seem to get excited when I rearrange or change stuff out there. They really help with the annual grape vine trimming too. :not sure: Not!

I swear I knew there was a reason I haven't got out to your house yet, Kay. My goodness- you have the coolest cat stuff everywhere, don't you? As for the grapes- you can send them this way! The boys go through them like crazy!!! I love the welded tree- so neat!

I'd love an outdoor enclosure, BUT my neighbors are closer then I'd like for that to happen.

I would never mention all the stuff for the cats to anyone else....I'm viewed as nuts to most of my friends and extended family for spoiling my babies. I must not care :roflmao: The most fun for the cats, currently, is the second access to the side enclosure. With two windows accessing the same enclosure (one in our master bdrm and one in our bathroom), it makes a race track effect....quite entertaining. :)

You really do own me a visit girl.....the March show could work well :big grin:
It's kind of funny the folks off Facebook who have come to my house. One client even came from Italy.....seemed crazy that I was a stop for her USA trip."giggle: I have another one coming next week from FLorida. Are you doing the Phx March show?

It's a definite probably- LOL. Isn't that a good conclusive answer? I asked Bubs if I could drop him off at your house first- he said sure. No hesitation!

So now that I've seen how your cats are spoiled, I'm wondering if your dogs have doggy palaces too!

I love my enclosure except for the muddy footprints. I wish I had a solution to that one. Your house stays much cleaner if they don't go outside at all. I will clean the counters and turn around and there they are all, neatly placed across the whole counter-top, sigh.
