Good on you for taking in this "special needs" baby! I don't have any advice, but I hope to see pictures of your new addition when he comes home. Is he named yet?

He's a black and white kitty, mostly black. We were thinking of Tray or tripod. Right now his name is champ, so any name suggestions are welcome and when we get him next week I'll post a picture. And thanks for your positive comments.

Sorry, sometimes the search engine doesn't work very well on this forum. Try this link: http://www.savannahcatchat.com/threads/introducing-a-new-cat-into-the-family.4746/

Poor kitty, he is so lucky to have found you. I'm sure he'll adjust just fine once he has healed. I know he will probably want to be up and about but it will be important to limit his activity for the first couple of weeks after surgery.

Do you have any pics of the little guy? I'd love to see him!
Thanks for the link, I'll have a look through. No pictures until next week, so I'll post it then and maybe get a new name for him:))

This will be a new experience for everyone, but I saw another kitten 6 weeks after his amputation (back leg) and it's like he never noticed it and the surgery was excellent, no scar and with e hair grown back it looks like it the leg was never there.

I try and do my part for the community and I hate to see cats in cages. Wish me luck:)

BTW, there is a three-legged F1 on Facebook called Meisha... https://www.facebook.com/F1MeishaManjaro?fref=ts
Just thought you might like to check her out :)
