George is a handsome boy. Your story is heartbreaking and joyful. I love happy endings. George's IBD symptoms may resolve in a year or two after he's been on a proper diet and his intestines have time to heal. I currently have a SV with IBD and my DSH who died a few years ago suffered from it for a long time before she was diagnosed at 14 yrs old. I put her on commercially prepared diet (Rad Cat and Feline's Pride) and her symptoms were gone in a month. She stayed on those two foods until she died. The turnaround in her health was miraculous.

I was just thinking I should see if I can add some raw into his diet. He's so picky but maybe the pet store has some sneaky ways to get it in there until he thinks he likes it.
Start by adding 1/4 tsp of raw to his regular food, when he eats it without complaint, increase raw to 1/2 tsp and reduce his canned food by the same amount, slowly increase the raw and decrease the canned over period of a month -- longer if he balks at the raw. If you don't want him on all raw, gradually increase the amount of raw into the canned until you get a ratio that you like and he'll eat.
