I was just thinking I should see if I can add some raw into his diet. He's so picky but maybe the pet store has some sneaky ways to get it in there until he thinks he likes it.

Where are you located? Darwin raw food has an introductory special of $14.95 for 10 lbs of raw. It's a great way to see if he will like it. It comes frozen (with dry ice) in 1/2 lb chubs.

I am currently using this with my cats but plan on making it myself in the near future. One cat likes ground while the other likes chunks so I have been mixing this with chicken thigh meat (plus added nutrients). I have been gradually adding more chunks to her food and more ground to his and I think that I am almost to the point where both will be happy campers.

They are in the Seattle area and deliver for free out there. My Pixie bob breeder is just north of Seattle and she had him on it from the time that he was weaned. I personally did not think that I would use them for more than 3-6 months but my picky furkids dictated otherwise. It is also pretty darn convenient. My main issue with wanting to grind my own is to facilitate things on those rare occasions that we actually take vacation - having something premeasured to simply thaw and serve would give me piece of mind.

He chased me around the room when I gave him a sample of the freeze dried Stella and Chewy's Chick chick chicken just put a pinch not moistened in front of him and he licked it up and begged until he got more so I stuck some on his food like a topper and he chased me around with the bag to get more when I was putting it away. (just a small trial size but I did end up getting the bigger bag, since he liked it so much) I have some Rad Cat in the freezer so now I can play chemist and cook up a concoction he might like. Is the freeze dried as healthy because it sure is convenient. Will put some raw frozen thawed stuff in front of him tomorrow (just chicken for now) and see what he does. Thanks, will let you know how we do.

Since he prefers chunky food over pate, he may not like rad cat unless you add stella and chewys to it.

What kind of freeze dried did you get? Both of mine are addicted to the freeze dried chicken and sprinkling it on food will get them to eat just about anything. The only problem I have is that the stuff that I buy is so darned expensive! 10 oz is something like $35.
