This morning Jammu got pilled via a pill shooter and it went fairly well. I opted to feed him just chunks of meat instead of 50/50 chunks/ground as he prefers the chunks. He ate all but 3 pieces. 
Rafiki on the other hand, only ate 2/3 of hers. Of course this could be due to her having ate almost all of Jammu's food last night as well as her own. She is a bit jumpy today. We have a fly in the house and she cannot tell the difference between a housefly and a yellow jacket so whenever it buzzes, she runs frantically thru the house shaking her ears. I will have to keep an eye on her and make sure that she does not start scratching her ear again as it is looking pretty darn good. What a weird furbaby.

This morning Jammu did not want to eat. I had given him all chunks (no ground meat) thinking that he was associating the ground with the medicine as it soaked in. I did get him to eat about an ounce of Wellness salmon. Rafiki ate all of her food and about 1-1/2 oz of Jammu's chunks and a bit of baby food. She threw up a couple of hours later.
Tonight, neither cat wants to eat. I got Jammu to eat a couple of freeze dried duck tenders, about a tablespoon of baby food and about a dozen pieces of Fancy Feast kibble that I keep on hand for the cat puzzle game. I really hesitate about giving him much dry food (kibble or freeze dried) because he does not drink water.
I am pretty much beside myself with worry about now.
Tonight, neither cat wants to eat. I got Jammu to eat a couple of freeze dried duck tenders, about a tablespoon of baby food and about a dozen pieces of Fancy Feast kibble that I keep on hand for the cat puzzle game. Rafiki was very listless last evening. She did not play at all and when it came to bed time, she stayed at the foot of the bed and later snuggled with Jammu. I left about an ounce of baby food and a bit of reconstituted freeze dried duck tender for them before going to bed. Both bowls were clean this morning. I am not sure who ate but it is a good thing regardless.
Rafiki appeared to be "Hoovering" the kitchen floor looking for kitty treat crumbs this morning so that was a good sign that she was hungry. I gave them both some Fresh is Best kitty crack to stimulate their appetites. Rafiki ate about 2 oz of food before wandering off. I tried baby food first for Jammu but he was not interested. I kept it away from Rafiki as I did not want her getting sick from overeating again. Then I tried Jammu on raw again. I only gave Jammu a bit more than an ounce of chunks and he ate it, slowly and not overly enthusiastically. An hour later, I gave Rafiki the remainder of her food and Jammu another ounce and once he started eating, he licked the bowl clean. I followed it up with the last ounce about a half hour later and that was eaten as well.
So things are looking up today but I still don't know what is going on with Jammu. Pixie bobs are chubby cats so I definitely do not want him going more than a day without eating for fear of fatty liver setting in.

Rafiki always drinks water so I am not overly concerned with giving her freeze dried food. In 3 years, Jammu has never drank water in front of me. I have tried everything. His only interest in the drinking fountain was dismantling it and flooding the kitchen.
I recently started crate-training Rafiki for feeding time. Thanks to the anorexia she developed as a result of liver fibrosis last year, she is very twitchy at feeding time and the least thing will get her to run off. The crate is soft sided and always kept open. This is a safe zone - absolutely nothing bad can be associated with the crate! Earlier this week she decided to decorate it by adding my old pink travel pillow.
