Oh my gosh, only two weeks to go! Are you all ready? Toys, cat tree, cat bed, food, dishes, litter, litterbox, etc.??? Are you picking him up or is he flying to you? Soon you'll be counting down the hours...

Oh yeah. , we already changed our other 2 fur babies over to pine pellet litter. That what Kelli uses and Jax is already used to it. We also have changed them over to the same dry and wet cat food that he's used to. All should be good. We are driving to get him. She will ship at no charge but no way is he riding in a cargo hold. We have a great big carrier that we used to take our rottweiler to the vet in....that we're going to put him in. It's huge and there will be plenty of room for a litter box. .bed and a couple of bowls for food and water. I think I have about everything covered.

Yep, sounds like you're prepared, but I'll bet there will be a few panic moments between now and then when you suddenly realize that you've forgotten something, or just have to have something for him... ;)

You are so lucky with your breeder - they have been great at keeping the photo's coming. I had one at 3 weeks and another at 4 - to choose my kitten! and then despite my pestering on a weekly basis only got one more - blurry one - at 10 weeks!! Never mind I am trying to make up for it now!!

You must be getting so excited and how nice that you have two weeks off to get to know each other :) I think there are quite a few of us who can't wait for baby Jackson to come home now!!! More photos please...

Yes Evie,,,the excitement is growing. I just talked to Kelli yesterday. She was concerned about where we were going to stay in Birmingham when we go to pick up Jax. E-mailed us a group of hotels/Resterants in a very good and safe area to stay overnight. I can't speak highly enough about Wild Tafari as to the way they operate and treat their cliants. Kelli is nothing but outstanding! She is going to send me 10 wk pics early next wk. They will be the last ones that I will ask for. We will take that job over for the 12 wk pics. LOL!tri big grin: Keep in mind that your breeder did do one thing right,,,you do have a gorgous fur baby and thats the most important thing! I love her/his ears and what gen. is he/she?

Hi Ambro, Yes you are right I do have a beautiful kitten - sorry if I sounded like I was moaning!:) My breeder said to me 'just wait until you are sharing your life with one of these amazing cat's - you will adore her' and she was so right about that! I thought it may have been a little more straightforward than it has been but who wants straightforward??!! this is a ride I won't ever forget! Kitoko is an F2 - I will upload a photo taken yesterday she seems to be growing so fast (nearly 18 weeks) no idea what she weighs as I still can't pick her up but she is looking really well and that's the main thing. I waited since last summer for a litter to be born so it was quite a wait for me too but very worth it. I kind of liked having something so amazing to look forward to. Now she is home it's great to be able to share in everyone else's excitement when they are having new babies! I just wish I had joined the forum months ago as I would have been far better prepared - I thought you had to own one before you joined - silly me!
I'm off to start a new thread for some more advice...

You only have about 14 sleeps!!! :)
