Talked to the vet today. He said that the vet at u of Illinois was out of town till Monday. He said that the reason for contacting him is that he wants his input on the best anistesia for Jax. He does have an ultrasound and will locate the lost testical before he starts. He has done this procedure many times before and is mainly concerned about keeping Jax's stress level at a minimum. So as of now he's going to call Monday and we are looking at mid or late next week to get it done.

The vet sounds like a good vet, I am praying for Jax and I know that he will do fine.

Well just got off the phone with the vet. He said that he got in touch with the anistesia vet at University of Illinois and got advice on how to put Jax under. He is very experienced with ketamine but hasn't used gas for some time. The Dr over at U of I suggested a very light dose of ketamine to start the process and use gas for the procedure. I like the fact that he is covering all the bases. He said that the procedure is not a problem as he's done it literally dozens of times. He just wants to keep Jax's stress at a minimum. We told him to do whatever he is the most comfortable with as we trust him completely. He's been in practice for over 35 years so I think Jax is in good hands. He goes in Monday morning.

Definitely keeping the healing thoughts and prayers rolling your way... I am sure he will do fine.... Until he finds he lost is marbles so to speak...

Thanks folks! I'm ready for it to be done. He was under once then doc noticed the missing marble. He stopped right there and wanted to talk to us before going forward. Doc is confident that all will go well. I'll post here as soon as he's done on Monday as I'm off work that day.
